Spot the Dangers
Take Care, swimming pools, hot tubs, plunge pools, surfaces and steps can be hazardous. Water presents a risk of slipping and drowning, and injuries can occur from hitting the hard surroundings, or from misuse of equipment.
Always Swim Within Your Ability
Never swim after a heavy meal or after alcohol. Avoid holding your breath and swimming long distances underwater. Be especially careful if you have a medical condition such as epilepsy or a heart condition.
Check New Places
Every pool is different. You are advised that the pool at the spa has a maximum depth of 1.4 metres and is irregular in shape. It has no equipment such as diving boards. Diving and jumping are not permitted.
Take Safety Advice
Follow advice given for yours and others safety. Avoid unruly behaviour which can be dangerous such as running on the side of the pool, dunking, acrobatics into the water and in the water, shouting and screaming (which could distract attention away from an emergency). Always follow staff instructions and always use the handrails provided. Remember that a moment of foolish behaviour can cost a life.
Swimming
You are advised that this is a pool without poolside supervision so extra care must be taken. It is safer to swim with a companion. Keep an eye open for others, particularly younger children, and non-swimmers. Please be aware that children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times in the pool.
Treatments
Guests having treatments who wish to use the pool prior to the treatment are asked to exit the pool, dry off and make their way to the consultation area in the spa at least 15 minutes prior to the treatment time.
In an emergency, please call a member of staff for assistance.
